THE ENVIRONMENT
A wild life resort run by animal lovers.
Located in the Sierra de las Cañas, Garzón municipality, Maldonado - just a step away from Punta del Este -we offer an environment of singular beauty- ideal for experiences in a native natural setting and farm activities.
The 300ha farm includes several mountains of the Sierra de las Cañas, numerous lakes fed by different natural water sources suitable for swimming or fishing surrounded by a predominantly native vegetation.
In this refuge you can find up to 97 different documented species of birds (some of them migratory), wild mammals (Carpinchos, Tatús, Mulitas, Guazubirá, etc.) and a wide variaty of amphibians.

HORSEBACK RIDING
Gauchos take you on a tour through ABBA AMA, while teaching you how to master your riding skills.
MULE RIDING FOR KIDS
ABBA AMA's own bred mules take your kids around the trails to ensure security. For disabled kids we provide Jeep tours - to accommodate the whole family.
MOUNTAIN BIKING
Ride the nature paths with your bike and other like minded athletes. ABBA AMA provides various adventures trails sunken into luscious vegetation, with countless water side gems.
BIRD & FROG WATCHING
Discover one of the 97 different documented bird species with one of South America's leading biologists. ABBA AMA is also the home of countless frog species - we teach you how to scout, watch and listen to them in the nature.
FISHING
ABBA AMA has hundreds of natural water pools, spread across 300ha of land. Over the course of the past decades a vast amount of fish naturally established itself. Bring your gear and catch your dinner.
BARBECUE
Hungry after a full day of ABBA AMA activities? We got your covered with a typical barbecue (Asado), prepared by our farmers accompanied by a fine selection of red wine. We even teach you how to master the Parrilla (Uruguayan BBQ).
...or you may prefer to be accompanied by a guide to every corner of the farm. We can also organize a biologist to join you explaining the flora and fauna on your walk or ride. We also offer a typical barbecue (Asado) - you fancy a lamb raised on our farm? Perhaps accompanied by a Uruguayian folk guitarist?
